Graded Examinations in Spoken English
The A1 SELT (GESE Grade 2) test is to assess the level of English proficiency of the applicant.
This test is required for the following UK visas:
- - Further Leave to Remain (Family partner and Family parent)
- - Representative of an Overseas Business visa
- - Sportsperson visa T2
- - The exam is a 6- minute one to one speaking and listening only test.
- - Taken at an approved Trinity SELT Centre.
- - Provisional GESE results are emailed by 9am the day after the exam, and a link to access the digital certificate is emailed 4-7 days after the exam date.
This test is required for:
- - Further Leave to Remain (visa extension (A2)
- - This test is required after 2.5 years being in the UK.
- - It is for non-EEA nationals who are on the 5-year partner of parent route to settlement.
- - This test is a 7-minute speaking and listening test.
- - Provisional GESE results are emailed by 9am the day after the exam, and a link to access the digital certificate is emailed 4-7 days after the exam date.
This test is required for:
British Citizenship (B1) – Indefinite Leave to Remain (to settle)
You need to pass a Secure English Language Test (SELT) at CEFR level B1 in Speaking and Listening
- - This course is for individuals who need to prepare for the Trinity B1 SELT for a Home Office visa application in the UK.
- - This is a 10- minute speaking and listening test
- - Provisional GESE results are emailed by 9am the day after the exam, and a link to access the digital certificate is emailed 4-7 days after the exam date.
